The MG Car Club's 53rd International Festival at Silverstone

20th, 21st and 22nd June 2003

David Clelland, Alan Dunlop, Gerry Hiorns and his son Andrew with his pal Ricky along with Gordon Smith and his son Scott attended this event.  There was something for everyone; bargains at the trader's village (Alan Dunlop spent a small fortune); the various Registers; wall to wall MGs and various different kind of competitions.  One of the highlights of the weekend was the MG Enthusiasts BBS BBQ on the Saturday night.  It was nice to put faces to lots of familiar names.  A big thanks must go to Dave, Jon and Bob along with all their helpers for cooking the food and cooling the drinks which helped to make the event such a big success.  The final ingredient that made the weekend so enjoyable was the weather.  While Scotland was wet and windy we were all basking in the sun.
